My work experience prior to teaching is varied. I have coached adults and young people in lifestyle and health issues, and I have worked in a welfare capacity in a University and in the UK’s National Health Service. I have worked for both private and public companies and I feel that this varied experience has brought a background of professional knowledge to my work in teaching and has enabled me to be an effective and well-rounded employee. I feel confident that I would be able to teach in a business capacity. In the future, I hope to either study for a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics or TESOL or get my teaching license, and now I am hoping that I can take the next step in my career where I can truly apply my creativity and love for teaching English. I have gained some experience through private lessons and volunteering at a kindergarten teacher which has made me more patient, and taught me not only how to deal with kids but how to teach them in a nonconventional way relaying on both images and sounds, making the classroom less stressful for them in order to allow them to absorb the new material in the most efficient way. Around three years back I started gaining interest in korea, but it wasn't until recently that I realized I wanted to teach there. I come from a small town which doesn't believe that english is an important vessel for the future as I do. After hearing about the importance of English study in korea, and about the many ESL teachers I knew I belonged there, and that I wanted to teach in a country that is as passionate about English studies as I am. Korea is the ideal place for me to find the opportunities I desperately sought but couldn't have in my home country, in a completely different environment that shares the same values and importance to what I love and want to do.
