Seungwon Lee(F)  Late 20s   Now in Korea From Korea

Preferred Job Type:Universities & Private Schools,Adult Conversation/Grammar/BusinessEnglish

About Me: Hello, this is Ann (Seungwon Lee) from Korea! I am originally from Korea but I consider myself to be more American as I have lived longer in the States than I have in Korea. I was born in Korea but I moved to the States when I was 2 years old, and constantly went back and forth. (I lived in the states from ages 2-9, 19-26) People describe me as being friendly, fun and enthusiastic. I am generally free-spirited and I have a great passion for teaching. I have 1 year experience teaching corporate English and I absolutely loved it! In fact, I received great positive reviews from my students and they loved my class as they described it being fun and engaging, interactive and helpful. I always try to make learning a language fun rather than stressful so the students would get intrinsically motivated to develop speaking. Yes, it is important to learn a language in order to pass the standardized tests, but what's more important is to be interested in making foreign friends and learning the culture in which the language is spoken, expanding one's global horizons. Regine(F)  Mid 20s   Now in Korea From Philippines

Preferred Job Type:Children's Institutes/ Kindergartens,Private Tutoring,Other Teaching Jobs

About Me: Given my passion for teaching and language school experience, I am writing to convey my interest in any teaching position that is available at your academy. I have completed my Bachelor of Elementary Education in 2010 at Philippine Normal University-Manila. My Alma Mater is well known as the National Center for Teacher Education in the Philippines. During my student teaching experience, I engaged my Grade 2 students to a fun classroom environment that let them enjoy the subject History at a young age. I developed interactive history games, ice-breakers, and a student-centered routine. In my two-year working experience, I developed, with the help of my co-teachers, a vocabulary word bank booklet and school workbooks for our academy curriculum. I also ensured that each teacher's schedule is clear and being followed. I also administered academy tests for incoming foreign students especially Korean clients and TOEFL review clients. In addition, our school director trusted me with different school letters and certificates that are needed to be issued at the end term. Both my school director and head teacher approved me on my keen classroom presentations and positive personality. Even though I was born and raised in the Philippines, learning English was very easy for me as it is likely one of our official languages. I want to teach in Korea due to the following reasons: (1) My family lives here as a legal E3 holder and F3 dependents here in Seongnam. Aside from my own goals, I want to stay close with my family as they have always been supportive of my work and talents. We opted for a multiple visa entry which can make me go to and fro Korea every 3 months. I can get back in Korea as short as one week. (2) I find teaching language to foreign students enjoyable. (3) I want an institution where training in teaching methodologies will be fully utilized in order to deliver students with an encouraging learning experience; and, I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you in person my ideas and qualifications. You can contact me through my contact details. Thank you for your consideration. Paul Garofalo(M)  Early 20s   Now in Korea From USA

Preferred Job Type:Children's Institutes/ Kindergartens,Middle/High School Institutes,Elementary & Secondary Public Schools

About Me: Hello. My name is Paul Garofalo. I am spending some time abroad here in Korea before applying to graduate schools in the United States, with a potential future career of teaching philosophy. For that reason I would like to teach while I am here to acquire more experience. Right now I am living with a friend in Sinchon, but I do not have an E2 visa. So, I would need sponsorship for a visa. I have all the necessary documents for that purpose with me here in Seoul, and so I could begin working as soon as I would be able to get the visa. Any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers Paul

Aaren Manering(M)  Late 20s   Now in Korea From USA

Preferred Job Type:Children's Institutes/ Kindergartens,Middle/High School Institutes,Elementary & Secondary Public Schools,Universities & Private Schools,Adult Conversation/Grammar/BusinessEnglish,Other Teaching Jobs,Accounting/Banking/Finance,Sales/Advertising/Marketing/PR,General Mgmt, Admin & HR,Government and NGOs

About Me: Aaren C. Manering 72-4 Changcheon-dong Seodaemun-gu Seoul, South Korea aare.manering@gmail.com (010) 4035-6114 Dear Sir/Ma’am, First, I would like to start thank you for taking the time to read my short biography and I hope that this short introduction will give you a little more insight into who I am. Therefore, I would like to take the time to introduce myself and show you how I may be of benefit to your company/school and how I would be able to excel in any position that I am put in. I believe that my experiences and future goals coincide with your own and would make for a great partnership. In my 5 years as a certified TEFL English Instructor, I have taught many age groups. I started out teaching CEO’s and Business Executives in Praha, Czech Republic. After spending a year there I came to South Korea, where I have taught many age groups for 4 years. The experience that I gained from those positions has been invaluable to me as a teacher. However that being said, these past few years has also been an accumulation of the effort that I have put forth through-out the years. Since I was a child, integrity and honor were very important to me. Due to this I chose to study Journalism in University; as the head of all media I upheld the highest of standards for all and held myself accountable for any actions that were taken. That concept is constantly with me in all that I do. To hone my leadership capabilities, I first learned how to follow by doing various jobs from editor to auditor to desk clerk. Those jobs taught me how to serve people as well as what motivates others. This, in turn, helped me become more effective at higher level positions such as head of media, as well as in the classroom leading students and teachers as a foreign language instructor. Also, since I was young, I have had an insatiable curiosity about the world and other cultures which is why I also studied International Studies. That passion drove me to live and work in both the Czech Republic and South Korea. These experiences have imparted upon me the ability to be both flexible and open to a variety of perspectives and backgrounds, which is essential for any instructor. I enjoy growing, adapting, and understanding the world around me. To me it isn’t just coping with the situation, it is integrating into the situation and working with it. I believe everyone can learn and grow, it just takes the right motivation and instructors that can help them find it. In conclusion, I believe with my professional background as well as my drive for success and ability to adapt, that I would be a great match for your company. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting with you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by phone: (010) 4035-6114 or by email at aaren.manering@gmail.com. Best Regards, Aaren C. Manering
